Yes – all our fitters are employed by PMF Cladding. Their combined experience with us amounts to more than 35 years.
Our standards are extremely exacting, so all our fitters are fully trained in-house and have achieved PERC Accreditation awarded by Deceuninck.
What is PERC?
PERC stands for Purveyors of Excellence in Roofline & Cladding, and is an accreditation scheme for fitters. Please click here for further details.
Do you offer a guarantee?
Yes. All products carry a 10-year manufacturer’s guarantee combined with a 10-year PMF Cladding guarantee covering the full installation
Are you insured?
Yes. We have £5,000,000 Public Liability and Employers Liability insurance.
Are you the cheapest?
No. We believe that there is more to cladding than simply making a property look nice. For example, it is imperative that the installation is carried out properly to protect the structural timbers of the roof. We do not believe in cutting corners or in using cheap products, and our prices reflect this philosophy.
Are you a national company?
No. We pride ourselves on the quality and service we provide for our customers, and we feel this is best maintained by not overstretching our resources.
What type of installations do you carry out?
We carry out two types of installation: ‘Full timber removal’ and ‘Overclad’.
Overclad installation
Overclad is the covering of existing timbers with uPVC. Done properly, this will provide a dry, but not air tight, environment for the timber of your roofline.
Timber must be in good condition; small areas of rotten timber can be replaced, but if the overall condition is generally poor then we will recommend a timber removal installation.
This is more involved than overclad, because all timber and soffits are removed, exposing the rafter feet. Rafter ends are trimmed or packed-out to give perfect alignment, as any deviation will show up when the new fascia is fitted. A series of battens are then fitted for the soffit to be fixed to. Again, these need to be perfectly aligned and level (except in the case of a sloping soffit). The new soffit and jumbo fascia can now be installed.
